Choices Vs Circumstances……

Choices Vs Circumstances……

TRUE FRIENDS!!! Everyone of us always savor the memories of quality time spent, invaluable discussion, with TRUE FRIENDS. This is an Ahhaa…..experience each time and every time.

In one of such get-together our discussion were directed towards experiences, events in the life. The different view to look at the events. We called it as CHOICE or CIRCUMSTANCES (C&C).

It is always said that dissemination of knowledge must be done., Hence those discussion are penned down for all of my friends.

We realized that C&C is a great concept to apply in our lives. As per this concept, choice and circumstance are two sides of the coin. Coin always has a value irrespective of the visible side. Just like a coin is minted, The Dear Almighty keeps on minting values for us in form of events in our lives.

Now its up to us to see those events as Choice or as Circumstance.

When we take those events as our Choices we are enjoying the minting process.

When we take ourselves as victims, we are seeing it as a Circumstance. Here starts all the misery. Result we become poor victims and crying babies.

Now the question comes what is required to convert the life events to Choice ? And here came the answer from WITHIN

After all, who declares that I am victim? It is my mind.  Traditionally for a misery, we only blame and ask the question why this happens only to me?

Here if mind is molded to look at the events in positive way, then “why it happens to only me”,  is non-existent. Any situations is taken in positive spirit i.e. willingly accepted as Choice. Nothing is forced on you.

To get positive attitude, Total acceptanceUnconditional love and the Trust are the three ingredients. Now all the events of life are Choice not  Circumstances.

Now miracle starts. Positive attitude / mind teaches to oneself “You are my dear with all the pitfalls….don’t worry if you are not perfect. ‘I’ am perfect and ‘I’ will take you to that level of perfection”.

Nice post Alpa Tai..!! To get positive attitude we have to train the mind properly and master it, and put it in it's proper place, as our servant..!! Let's choose not to be the victim of circumstances..

Nice article! If you realise that any situation is GOD's wish, it is accepted with love.

I feel we have to take each event on its merits and then tack call of action we can not used Only one measuring tape to all

circumstances are various situations may come across in our life and choice is the action taken by us.when the results are good, we take the credit and when the results
are bad, we blame circumstances.but the things go as they should!

Great thoughts Alpa taai!! Thank you for sharing. But I didn't understand the point about when u take it as a choice u enjoy the minting process. Does it mean that the situation has to be taken as a choice by the Almighty? I guess if we take it that way acceptance and love will follow..

Choices and Circumstances are both pair of cause and effect.
Choices and Circumstances are a part of routine life (prapanch).

It is always taught to us that -
जे जे ज्या वेळी व्हावयाचे ते ते त्या वेळी होणारच
which become the circumstances and so our choices should be intelligent and smart enough in all aspects. Then all the forces will be suitably modify the circumstances to accomplish our choice.

Hi Madhura, The minting process here is compared to that of a coin. A coin is just a piece of metal before it is hammered and brought to a new form called the Coin, which has a VALUE. Now if the coin cries and complains about the hammer , it will not enjoy the minting process and it will be taking it as circumstances. Whereas if it is aware that its value is increasing it will start enjoying the blows of hammer.
Similarly a human being is bound to be hammered to learn better things and Almighty has decided the number of blows and its hardness(Prarabdh). Its up to us whether we take it as Choice or as Circumstance. One who will take it as a Choice will say "WOW my value is increasing" and one who will take it as a Circumstance will cry " Oh no!! :( I am the only one who is always hammered. " ......

Beautiful Post Alpa! I know it can be difficult sometimes to look at every opportunity as our choice, but once we get past it, we open new doors for ourselves. And like you rightly mentioned in your article, we are never victims, we are perfections and if only we spend sometime to think about this everyday, any & every situation becomes instantly favourable.

Hi Alpa Tai! Really liked your article. I liked the way you explained how every situation is your choice and not something forced on you. If one chooses to change his/her mental setup, one can learn from every situation in his/her life. Thanks for sharing it!!
